Job description

We are looking for a Commercial Planning Manager with strong analytical capabilities and commercial instinct to lead and elevate our buying activities. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping buying strategy, improving forecast accuracy, and optimizing supplier performance across four annual collections with long lead-time fabrics.

This is a strategic role requiring a structured, forward-looking approach. You will ensure that all purchasing decisions are grounded in commercial objectives, production realities, and precise demand forecasts. Acting as a key partner to Production, Sales, and Finance, you will translate data into clear, actionable decisions that drive supplier allocation, margin optimization, and overall collection performance.

You will combine rigorous analytical skills with commercial acumen to improve forecasting methodology, elevate supplier performance, and identify opportunities to improve profitability. As a trusted sparring partner across departments, you will support strategic decision-making and negotiations with clear, evidence-based recommendations.

Reporting directly to the Production Director, you will own the end-to-end buying process—from initial forecast-driven fabric commitments to post-season analysis—driving continuous improvement across collections.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide data-driven decision-making to support forecasting for optimized purchase order management.
  • Take final sign-off on buy quantities, prices, fabric commitments, and supplier allocations.
  • Drive structured post-season performance analysis, translating forecast deviations into concrete improvements for future collections.
  • Identify root causes of over- and under-forecasting and translate findings into actionable improvements for future seasons.
  • Own and continuously improve forecasting methodology in collaboration with Commercial and Production Directors.
  • Analyse historical fabric consumption versus initial forecasts to uncover structural forecasting biases.
  • Analyse supplier splits and production allocations across RTW categories together with the Production Director.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on margin contribution, cost development, volume leverage, reliability, and scalability.
  • Conduct competitive price benchmarking and in-depth pricing analyses to develop and set retail prices, supporting overall pricing strategy across channels and regions.
  • Identify margin leakage, price inconsistencies, and inefficient production allocations.
  • Collaborate with Production on cost optimization and volume leverage opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Develop structured buying and production performance reporting, defining and tracking key commercial KPIs.

Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial buying, merchandising, sourcing controlling, or a similar analytical function within luxury.
  • Strong analytical background with proven experience in forecasting, seasonal buy planning, and performance analysis.
  • Proven ability to analyze margin development, supplier splits, and cost structures.
  • In-depth understanding of market trends, competitor strategies, leading brands, and evolving consumer behavior.
  • Confident in using sales, inventory, and allocation insights to optimize buying and commercial outcomes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets and KPIs (BI tools are a plus).
  • Structured, analytical, and decisive, with the ability to adapt quickly when plans change.

What we offer:

  • An inspiring creative environment
  • A yearly clothing budget
  • A young and ambitious team where no day is the same
  • Working in a historic building in the center of Amsterdam
  • Healthy lunch from our own kitchen every day
  • A dynamic role within the company with lots of autonomy and responsibility

Senior Fabric Buyer

Róhe is looking for a Senior Fabric Buyer. As materials are a core element of Róhe’s products, we are seeking an experienced Senior Fabric Buyer with strong ownership over fabric strategy, forecasting, and execution. The role requires a proactive, commercially aware professional who can manage fabric continuity across seasons, anticipate risks, and take accountability for fabric availability, cost, and efficiency within a luxury context.

As part of the Buying and Production team, you will own the end-to-end fabric process — from sampling and pre-buys to bulk production. You will manage forecasts, core fabrics, supplier negotiations, and timely deliveries, acting as the primary contact for mills while aligning operational execution with strategic objectives.

You will collaborate closely with Design, Development, and Production to ensure selections support range plans and timelines, while optimising fabric use, mitigating risks, and managing leftover materials effectively.

Main responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end fabric process from sampling and pre-buys to bulk production, ensuring availability, quality, and accuracy.
  • Own and manage fabric forecasting across seasons, anticipating shortages, overlaps, and long lead times, and proactively adjusting pre-buys.
  • Negotiate pricing, minimums, and lead times with suppliers, balancing quality, availability, and cost, and actively protecting margins.
  • Coordinate fabric selections with Design, Development, and Production teams to ensure alignment with range plans and production timelines.
  • Oversee operational execution, including purchase orders, stock monitoring, deliveries, and sample logistics.
  • Manage leftover fabrics, storage, and fabric library, identifying opportunities for creative reuse.
  • Maintain and analyze technical sheets and fabric specifications, ensuring the ERP system is updated with accurate fabric data, purchase orders, and leftovers.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks in sourcing, stock, or production to prevent delays or overbuy.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration, providing expert advice on fabric strategy while ensuring smooth workflow.

Profile

  • 5+ years’ experience in fabric buying or material sourcing within luxury fashion.
  • Strong textile knowledge and expertise in forecasting, pre-buys, and continuity management.
  • Commercially driven with an understanding of margin and product performance.
  • Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented, with excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in supplier negotiation, ERP systems, and Excel; able to maintain accurate fabric and order data.
  • Collaborative team player, confident in guiding cross-functional teams and providing expert advice.
  • Strong operational oversight, ensuring fabric processes, stock, and timelines run smoothly.

What we offer

  • An inspiring, creative environment
  • A yearly clothing budget

  • Working in a historic building in the center of Amsterdam
  • Healthy lunch from our own kitchen every day
  • A dynamic role within the company with lots of autonomy and responsibility
