About the Role
We are looking for a strategic, analytical, and results-driven Head of Logistics to bring our logistics operations to the next level. In this role, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and optimising our logistics processes with a strong focus on operational effectiveness, cost control and process improvements.
Day-to-day execution remains with the logistics team of 1.8 FTE (inbound and outbound), which you will manage and guide. You will ensure operational excellence, provide strategic direction, and act as the key liaison between internal departments (Sales, Finance, eCommerce, Production) and external third-party logistics providers (one in NL and one in the US).
You will conduct regular cost analyses, identify improvement opportunities, and translate them into concrete action plans. Additionally, you will negotiate contracts with carriers, third-party logistics providers, and other logistics partners to secure the best possible terms. With your vision and leadership, our logistics function will not only run smoothly but also contribute directly to Róhe’s commercial and financial objectives. Efficiency and accuracy are essential with a strong focus on leveraging our ERP system to streamline processes and minimise manual tasks.
Main responsibilities
- Lead and manage the logistics team (1.8 FTE), ensuring efficient task allocation and optimal performance;
- Oversee the complete logistics flow (inbound and outbound), in close collaboration with Buying, Production, Sales, Finance, and our warehouses in NL and the US;

Review freight and customs invoices in detail, challenge discrepancies with our suppliers (3PL/carriers/customs brokers) and ensure accuracy;
- Monitor, analyse, and report on logistics costs (shipping, customs, handling) and continuously work to optimise them;
- Conduct periodic cost analyses and implement initiatives for cost savings and process improvements;
- Negotiate contracts and service levels with carriers, 3PLs, customs brokers, and other partners;
- Ensure compliance with international customs procedures and optimise documentation processes;
- Drive ERP-based logistics process improvements with a focus on automation and minimising manual work;

Manage inventory accuracy by monitoring and reconciling stock levels and ensuring old or obsolete stock is addressed timely;

Act as the escalation point for complex logistics issues or customer cases.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration or similar;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics coordination;
- Proven track record in cost analysis, process optimisation, and contract negotiations;
- Knowledge of international customs procedures is a requirement;
- Experience in a high-end retail/fashion environment is a requirement;
- Skilled in ERP systems (experience with ItsPerfect is a plus) and Excel;
- Fluent in English and Dutch;
- Strong organiser with a clear overview and a proactive, enthusiastic approach. You combine financial and operational insight with the ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities.
